Pakistan, the country that is suffering from an active shortage of electricity. In the history of Pakistan,I have never seen such an old problem.Kalabagh Dam is the most important project for Pakistan. In the present time when our country is facing worst water and energy crises.There is adire need to resolve this problem.

The construction of Kalabagh Dam has been declared by the engineers and scientists as a cheap source of energy .It’s history could be traced back to our four decades .In 1953,it was identified as a potential dam site for water storage and power generation and it can also play a vital role in economic and industrial development in Pakistan.It includes the construction of about 260 feet high dam to create a reservoir with the capacity of 6.1 million acres feet. It’s ultimate power generation capacity is 3600 MW .It cannot pose threat to Mardan ,Nowshera and Swabi.

Inspite of great utility it has sparked off a controversy. Except Punjab no province is supporting this dam .It’s immediate benifit is that it would provide 40000 job opportunities to people of Kohat and Peshawar.

In the past womens were regarded as inferior creature. Now women are playing role in every field of life.They are getting education like men. They are trachers ,nurses,doctors and air hostesses.The time has proved that they can become good doctors and nurses as well.

Nursing is an important profession for them.It is a very noble profession. It is the backbone of every healthcare system. This profession is most suitable for girls because women are very kind by nature .God has created them soft hearted.It has been proved that women can perform their duties more efficiently than men that is the reason why the worth of women is very high as a nurse professional all over the world.

In Pakistan there is a dire need of them.In most of the village hospitals there are not enough nurses.This the reason why the health care system is not so good their.

Nursing was founded by Florence Nightingale. She worked hard day and night for welfare of the people. In the Crimean War,she served a large army of wounded and sick soldier .The Indo Pakistan war has shown that every women should have training in nursing.

The life of hospital nurse is not a bed of roses it’s very hard and often tiresome.She has to attend the hospital from early morning. She register temperature record of patients she prepares medicine she also gives injection to some patient. She attends to every patient carefully.She has to live among groans and cries.

In Pakistan,the nursing profession is not much valued the nurses are not properly paid for their services .They are not given proper rights.They are not given equal importance as compared to the doctors.They are given many other additional tasks that are not related to their job.

The government should improve their salary structure.It should give rewards to the nurses for their services. The government should portrait them as a national hero .

Sports play an important role in the development of the nation.Pakistan is a young nation about 80 percent of its nation is young. Sports are very popular among youth.Cricket is the most famous sport in Pakistan. In the past Pakistan was famous for its players and their abilities. In 1992 Pakistan won 4 major titles in Cricket,Snooker,Squash and Hockey.These were the golden days of Pakistan’s sport history. Now almost all the sports in Pakistan are facing crisis. The only game that is liked is cricket. The other games in Pakistan are not given government support that is the reason why the performance of our country is very poor in the Olympics Competition.

Hockey is the national sport of Pakistan. In the past Pakistan won many titles in hockey .Pakistan was ranked as the most toughest team. But now the condition of this sport is very bad.The country that won four Olympics title has not been able to qualify for Olympics. In Pakistan hockey players are facing financial crisis. The team that was at the top of list has gone to number 14th in the world.

Snooker is another game that is not bothered in Pakistan. Our snooker players are world class but we don’t give them proper appreciation. Recently Muhammad Sajjad won the worldcup but the government didn’t paid attention on it .This is very sad

In squash Pakistan produced players like Jahangir Khan ,Janshair Khan and many others.The current situation of squash in Pakistan is very disappointing. There are only a few players that are playing squash from Pakistan at international level.

The game that is getting popularity day by day in Pakistan is Football. The Pakistan Football Federation is facing political issues.Pakistan is at last number in Football in Asia.Pakistan Football Team is not operational since 2015.There is no one to resolve this issue.

Cricket is the most beloved sport in Pakistan. The Pakistan Cricket Board is the most rich board in Pakistan but the performance of Pakistan’s cricket team is not improving .The cricket history of Pakistan has many ups and downs in it.

All these problems can be resolved by bringing merit in all the sports. By paying equal attention towards all the sports . By maintaining accountability in all sports. By giving equal opportunities to the sports players of every sports .

Examination are an important feature of our educational life .In the mind of students exams is the most worst word.The students look for a way to escape from this trouble .The recent news about the cancellation of the board exams made the students throughout the country happy.The students feel fear after hearing of exams. The students neglect their games and other activities of daily life. During the days of examinations students don’t have any time to amuse themselves. According to the students ,it is the most absurd system invented by the man so far.

There are also some important features of exams

• Examinations are the test of efficiency for students. It’s only through examination we can know about the progress of student in his study.It provides a tangible proof of the fitness.It becomes easier to know who deserves a particular job.
• They goad us to study properly. A careless student become serious about his studies.Thus the exams serve to increase his attention towards studies. The exams are the best way of inspiring a student to read.
• Exams help us to find out the cleaverest and most efficient student. It helps us in discriminating between genuine gold and sparkling brass.

This is only the one side of the coin. The enormous strain during and near examinations affects the health of students. Some of students fall ill or develop nervous disorders. Exams also encourage cramming in this way the exams are test of memory rather than intelligence.

Our present examination system suffers from many malpractices. The students resort to copy without any fear.Papers are leaked before the time of exam starts.The students cheat,bribe,and threaten the supritendent and adopt unfair means to solve paper.Inspite of all these disadvantages exams are the only way to test efficiency of students.

Now a days when corona virus is at full swing in Pakistan. When there is fear all around in the minds of people. Talk Shows and Media are incresing fear by repeatedly discussing corona. This is increasing frustration among people. Watching the disaster again and again is effecting the mental health of general public. I am not against media this is their duty but they need to think about this problem.

They should establish a balance between Covid-19 news and the other news of daily life. For the last 3 months whenever I switch on TV and watch talk shows or other I become tense by seeing only corona and politicians blaming on each other . That is a reason why ratings of news channels has significantly drop. I have also stopped watching news channels. People should realise that they have heard all the essential news about corona virus. Before corona many people were dying due to different diseases but we don’t bother them. So you need not to get worry after seing number of death worldwide or in the country by corona. It’s numbers will increase day by day because it’s a natural phenomenon . The only thing you need to do is precaution only then there will be some chances to reduce this disease. At last pray to ALLAH ALMIGHTY to help us to get rid of this disease .

Students are the essence of a nation. They play an important role in development of the country. It is a debatable question whether the students should participate in politics or not .There are different thoughts of people on this debate many people are in its favour and many are against it.After the First World War the students of subcontinent took part in politics. The Indian National Congress organized the students to fight for their rights,freedom of the country. Later Muslim League had his own student wing which was under leadership of Quaid-e-Azam . Thus student played an important role in the independence of the subcontinent.

Religious and morality are critical to how students think about politics and form opinions on political issues

There are two views about whether the students should take part in politics or not. It is said that the students of present will occupy leadership positions tomorrow so they should have an experience of politics. In this way they can run the country in a better manner .

Politics no doubt is a complicated thing .It requires experience and clever people but experience comes when you do something.

When politics influence life of students Why shouldn’t students be interested in politics?

The othet group of people hold oppositely other opinion. They think that the only duty of student is study .If he take part in other activities he cannot pay proper interest on studies . Moreover students are emotional in nature. They cannot form their own political opinion in this way the are used by clever politician.

Both the opinions are extreme . Personally I also take interest in current and political affairs of country and world . I think that this improves the knowledge of student.

Pakistan and India are relatives .Their relation is never good .They fought four wars against each other in 1948,1965,1972 and 1999 over the conflict of Kashmir but this problem is yet not solved. This issue continues to embitter their relationship. There can be no peace between these two without solution of this problem. UN and world powers have failed to solve this conflict.

Then India started the construction of different dams on different rivers and violated the Indus-Water Treaty. First it started the construction of Baglihar dam on Chenab and Kishan Ganga dam on Neelam river in Kashmir. This was the violation of Indus-Water Treaty. These dams will reduce water flow in the rivers of Pakistan. India is not willing to stop their construction and is also not bothering Pakistan’s legal rights.This conflict also put a dent on their relationship.

The terrorist attacks on Mumbai,2008 ,which India blamed on Pakistan also embittered their relationship. Then the Kargil war also brought these two atomic powers on the verge of an atomic war.

The efforts of Indian and Pakistani people or some leaders to establish friendship,business and culture didn’t look impossible in the above background. Lets pray to Allah Almighty that these relatives never come against each other in any circumstances.

Corruption is as old as man. It has existed in the world since ancient time . Corruption exist in almost all the countries of the world but its rate in developing countries is very high . It exists in the form of cheating, fraud,swindling,bribery, and its other form.In Pakistan corruption exists in government as well as in private sectors. According to the recent survey by international agencies , Pakistan has figured No.2 in the world regarding corruption .The religious scholars and thinkers have expressed great anxiety over wide speed of this menace.

Corruption is the true enemy of development

There are many reason for the spreading of this menace in the country

• Everyone wants to become rich and enjoy joys of life,ride in a big car ,wants to live in a bungalow . All these luxuries want money so they want to get money by every means.
• The salary of government as well as private employees is very meagre . So they accept bribe without hesitation to improve there living standards .
• Inflation is increasing at a rapid fast rate. The price of basic necessities are star-rocketing .To afford these thing people do corruption.
• The corrupt people thrive in our society because there is no accountability of such people .

Corruption is very poisonous to society. Young people do not find unemployment after getting education in our society because merit is discarded and more attention is given to bribery. This give rise to chaos in our society.

Vanity is a principle of corruption

To eradicate corruption is no doubt a herculean task but it is not impossible. We should make a vigorous propaganda against corruption. We should empower our anti-corruption institutions. Without eliminating corruption we cannot become a developed country.

The price of necessities of life are increasing day by day. This is posing a huge burden on daily wagers,general public and poor people. It has become a universal problem . This problem has attained accute form in developing countries like Pakistan. The majority of people in Pakistan belong to low income group. These people are hard hit by increasing prices of essential goods of daily life .Inflation has adverse effects on different section of society. Many people use unfair means to buy necessities of life. In this way there is increase in the number of pickpockets in the society .Some government that hardly makes both end meet accept bribe .In this way they promote injustice and cruelity.

Inflation is taxation without legislation

Inflation also affect businessmen and they resort to adulteration, hoarding and other unfair ways to increase there profit value

There are many factors that play an important role in inflation .The first and major factor is increasing population. The population of Pakistan is increasing at a rapid fast rate but our economic resources have not increased it results in inflation. The second factor that contributes in inflation is that demand is higher than supply.If the production is disturbed by strike of workers or other reason it also cause inflation. The third reason is that sometimes government impose tax or levies on commodities. This also give rise to inflation.

There are some solutions for this problem.

• We should make a vigorous propaganda in favour of family planning
• Government should not impose tax ,levies on things that are used by general public

Hope for the best.

In Pakistan election’s result is the only thing that is never trusted by majority of people and almost all the opposition parties. Opposition parties leaders think that it is easy to put a question mark on elections result rather than to resign from party’s chairmanship. This tradition is going on from a long time .In my opinion it ia very bad habbit .In Pakistan elections are held after every five years. This is the day when supporters of opponent parties fight with each other. People,politicians and journalists think that election’s results are controlled by establishment .Some people have other opinion.Elections are said to be fair by the government but opposition has entirely different opinion. In rural areas of the country people sell their vote for a plate of biryani .People didn’t know about power of vote that is the reason why Pakistan is standing at the same place as it was in 90’s. Election is the institution to arrange election affairs but there are question marks on its performance.

Another problem is concept of electables .These people become part of every government but there performance remains the same. There is a large part of religious votes in Pakistan. In 2013 when Pakistan Muslim League came into power PTI went on ptotest and raised questions on elections. The next moment was after five years. In 2018 Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaaf came into power this time JUI-F and other parties didn’t accept the election’s result. So these are the conditions of elections in Pakistan. But hope for best and pray to ALLAH ALMIGHTY to improve the condition of our motherland.
